General description
This is an intimate pond of around an acre, there’s 16 pegs with a wide range of species including carp to 15ib. The fishery is managed by Chris Haines and there’s an extremely well stocked tackle shop onsite selling fresh bait as well as terminal tackle, fishing rods and reels. Chris usually has numerous items of second-hand items on sale so it’s a great place to pick up some bargains.
The fishing is one of those lovely places where there’s plenty of action plus a chance of having your arm pulled off by one of the resident carp.
There’s a toilet on-site, safe parking and Chris is currently finishing a break out area with a kettle to relax if you’re tired of catching fish.
Two members per day can fish, book via the exchange ticket facility either via the Clubmate Fishing app or online. Booking an exchange ticket does not guarantee a swim so it’s recommended to text Chris the day before fishing and he’ll make sure your place is reserved.
If you start fishing early you must register with Chris at the shop around 9am, you show him your booking email and plus your physical card or app. If you’re arriving at more leisurely time call into the shop on arrival.
You’ll find Chris to be a good host, the only rules are barbless hooks, if you want to use keepnets have one for carp and another for other species, The GOLDEN rule is to be nice to Chris and to spend money in the shop!
If both tickets are taken you can pay £6 for a day ticket when you arrive.
